exaSound announces Mark II Release of the s88 Streaming DAC

Featuring a reference-grade 32-bit digital-to-analog converter, Roon-Ready streamer and headphone amplifier in stylish full-size mono-block enclosure, the s88 Mark II excels with its ergonomic simplicity and sonic perfection.

  • s88 Mark II features new output stages with improved micro-symmetry of the balanced outputs.
  • Newly released Tidal Connect support allows the Tidal apps on iOS, Android, Mac OS and Windows to stream directly to the S88 Mark II.
  • New Audio Optimization Settings allow manual selection of PCM reconstructions filters and roll-off filters.
  • New Settings for SPDIF and Optical TOSLINK inputs allow compatibility with consumer-grade devices that exhibit high jitter, while maintaining sonic purity.
  • New Bluetooth Audio Streaming support makes s88 Mark II easily accessible in casual listening settings.
  • New Advanced Settings refine the transition playback states from track to track.
s88 Mark II is a multi-level device offering easy-to-use and advanced configurations:
  • Multichannel DAC capable of playing up to 8-chanels DSD256
  • Stereo DAC with support for DSD512
  • The eight discrete DAC channels can be configured for use with Stereo four-way digital crossovers for horn and open-baffle speakers.
  • Autonomous balanced and unbalanced outputs can be used simultaneously with two sets of power amplifiers.
In addition to Roon, s88 Mark II supports streaming with Signalyst HQPlayer, UPnP, AirPlay and online services Tidal and Qobuz. Stereo and multichannel streams and files are played with uncompromising fidelity side-by-side in their native format, resolution and number of channels.

In-house designed and hand-made in Canada, exaSound devices deliver award winning, reference level sonic fidelity. Vanishingly low noise and distortion with highly accurate and extended frequency response form the foundation for natural, dynamic sound and ultimate subjective appreciation.
